Privacy Policy
Playback is a reference build. This policy describes what it actually does with data, in plain terms.
What we store
- A browser identity — an anonymous visitor token, so your likes, subscriptions, comments, uploads, and watch progress persist on this device.
- Your display name, if you claim one.
- Content you create — comments, and any videos you upload (stored as-is in object storage).
- An analytics beacon — plays, watch-seconds, likes, and subscribes, used to power Studio. Append-only and session-deduped.
What we don't do
No ad tracking, no third-party advertising cookies, no cross-site profiling — there's no ad market here to fund it. We don't sell data. Analytics are honest approximations, labeled as plays rather than audited views.
Your controls
Resetting your browser identity from the account menu clears your local state. Because most state lives against your browser token, that's effectively a clean slate.
