Pricing

Free to watch. Pay to remove friction, or to fund a creator.

Two things you can pay for: Premium (ad-free-style perks — this build has no ads, so it's the ‘nice-to-haves’ tier) and Channel Memberships that split 70/30 to creators.

Pricing questions

Is watching really free?+
Yes — forever, no card. Free covers watching, commenting, subscribing, your own channel, uploads, and Studio analytics. You only pay for Premium perks or to fund a creator.
What does checkout actually do here?+
This is a reference build. Checkout runs through the platform's free-mode placeholder gateway: it records a real order object and confirms your plan, but no card field is shown and nothing is charged.
Why is there a Premium tier if there are no ads?+
Honesty: a small build has no ad market, so ‘remove ads’ isn't a real benefit here. Premium is the ‘pay to remove friction’ tier — background play, higher caps, early experiments. We'd rather relabel it than fake ad-free.
How does the 70/30 split work?+
On Channel Memberships and tips, the creator keeps 70% and Playback keeps 30%. We publish the split on this page rather than in a policy PDF. There's no ad revenue-share because there are no ads.
Can I change or cancel anytime?+
Any time, up or down. In this build there's nothing to bill, so ‘cancel’ simply flips your plan back to Free.
